This 2 day course is a special interest course for parents and child development professionals. We look at how the brain develops, the areas that develop during the Early Years and how movement can improve any delays in development. It really is a fascinating course and you will learn simple movements to use at home, in school and early years nurseries and pre-schools.
The areas of the brain we look at are the hindbrain, midbrain and forebrain. We also look at the role of the Cerebellum, the Reticular Activating System, the Limbic system, Basal ganglia and the Neocortex. The information is easily understood, accessible and very useful to parents and professionals and just how simple movements can make profound improvements to development and learning. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to understand how children develop.

We look at:
- The areas of the brain, how they develop and how the connections are made
- How rhythmic movements are an essential process to the neurological development in every child
- How the brain and body must be connected for learning to take place
- How rhythmic movements stimulate the senses and motor development
- How rhythmic movements develop muscle tone, posture and flexibility
- What happens if any area lacks immature development and what can be done to improve this
- The signs and symptoms of immature development
- Developing connections from Cerebellum to the Speech centres to improve speech and communication
- Developing the connections through to the Prefrontal cortex
- Movements that stimulate the Reticular Activating System to improve alertness and sleep patterns
- Movements to improve development to the Limbic system to help emotional issues
- Movements to improve neural development to the Neocortex
- Movements to improve neural development to the Frontal lobes
- Learn many movements to take away and use straightaway
- Experience the changes in yourself as you make the movements and the connections
